How Do I Provide Public Comments at a Board Meeting?

The Board of Trustees encourages community members to use the normal chain of command to get answers to questions or to resolve concerns. Please consult the Village's contacts directory for information on how to contact members of the Village staff about an issue.

However, the Board values input from the community and it specifically reserves times at Board Meetings for public comment on matters of general interest. There are two opportunities for public comment: one on agenda items and one on non-agenda items. A member of the public may speak up to 5 minutes during either or both opportunities.

Public comments are also be accepted in writing via our online submission form. They will be summarized for the meeting and added to the official record. Please submit all written comments by 4 PM on the day of the board meeting.
