A selection of incidents from the police blotter of the Croton-on-Hudson Police Department. Please note that the below information is public record and does not constitute all calls received by the department during this period.

Location: Riverview Trail
Call Type: Animal Complaint
Narrative: Caller reported a rabid skunk. Patrol was dispatched and confirmed the caller had a wildlife removal company responding. No further action needed.

Location: Finney Farm Road
Call Type: Suspicious Incident
Narrative: Caller reported his vehicle was rummaged through overnight. Footage was checked in the area and all information was taken for a report.

Call Type: Property Lost
Narrative: Party reported his phone was lost or stolen at the gas station. Patrol was dispatched and confirmed the party found his phone. No further police action needed.

Location: Route 9 North
Call Type: Arrest Penal Law
Narrative: Patrol reported stopping a vehicle for VTL violations. Further investigation led to a search of the vehicle. Subsequent to the search, controlled substances were located along with drug paraphernalia. All occupants in the vehicle were placed under arrest and transported to Police HQ. A 48-year-old Peekskill resident, a 51-year-old Buchanan resident, and a 53-year-old Cortlandt resident were all charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. Two were also charged with Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree. All occupants were processed and released on their own recognizance.

Narrative: Caller stated the house behind hers has a dog that has been barking for the past two hours. Patrol was dispatched and reported speaking to the resident of that home who stated they have a dog but it is not currently outside. Patrol reported canvassing for any barking dog with negative results.

Call Type: Welfare Check
Narrative: Caller stated there was a male wearing a long-sleeved shirt standing in front of the real estate office. The caller reported he appeared to be in some kind of distress as he was shivering. Patrols were dispatched and reported the individual was no longer there.

Call Type: Past Accident
Narrative: Party came to headquarters to report that he struck a gate post two days ago while driving down to the football field behind CET School. Party was given a civilian accident report to complete. Party's insurance company notified the school who stated the post is damaged. Party stated he knew he struck the post but did not see any damage, so he did not report it at the time.
