A selection of incidents from the police blotter of the Croton-on-Hudson Police Department. Please note that the below information is public record and does not constitute all calls received by the department during this period.

Call Type: Penal Law Arrest
Narrative: An individual came into police headquarters to report that he was in a fight and was punched in the face. All paperwork was filed and a 25-year-old Croton resident was placed under arrest for Harassment in the 2nd Degree. He was processed and released on his own recognizance.

Location: Maple Street
Call Type: Suspicious Incident
Narrative: Caller requested police assistance regarding a person who came to her residence and was loitering outside. Patrols were dispatched and spoke to the caller to obtain further information. Patrol reported canvassing for a blue Toyota and located the vehicle further south on Maple Street. The vehicle operator was identified as the owner of a local restaurant who was looking for one of his employees and went to the wrong house. Caller was advised. Blotter only at this time.

Call Type: Parking Complaint
Narrative: Caller reported a red Ford Mustang parked on the sidewalk. Parking enforcement reported there was nowhere to park due to the amount of snow piled up on the side of the street and issued a warning ticket.

Call Type: Fraudulent Activity
Narrative: Patrol was flagged down by a passerby who reported being a victim of fraud. Victim stated that he bought some stereo equipment from a stranger in the parking lot and that some of the items were missing. Patrol checked the box further and located all items that were supposed to be in the box.

Location: Village of Ossining
Call Type: Warrant Arrest
Narrative: Ossining Police Department reported they had a 39-year-old Ossining resident in custody who had an active arrest warrant from the Village Justice Court. Detectives responded to the scene and took custody. He was processed, arraigned, and released on his own recognizance.

Call Type: Vehicle & Traffic
Narrative: Patrol reported stopping a vehicle with no license plate affixed. The operator was able to provide a temporary registration. The operator was issued two summonses and released.

Location: South Riverside Avenue
Call Type: Assault
Narrative: Caller reported he was assaulted in the parking lot of a local business and sustained an injury. EMS responded to the scene. The suspect turned himself in at Police HQ. A 40-year-old Croton resident was charged with Assault in the 3rd Degree, processed, and arraigned. A temporary order of protection was issued and he was released.

Call Type: Dispute
Narrative: Caller reported people were fighting loudly. Patrol was dispatched and requested EMS for an intoxicated party. Patrol reported the subject became unruly and had to be detained for safety. The patient was transported to Phelps Hospital without further incident.
