Weather Alert: Flood Watch for July 5-6
Posted on: July 5, 2026 - 11:43am
A weather system is expected to bring heavy rainfall to our region beginning this afternoon through Monday evening. A Flood Watch has been issued for Westchester County, with a general 2 to 3 inches of rain expected, with isolated amounts of 4 inches or more.
While Croton-on-Hudson was spared the worst of yesterday's storms, lots of small tree debris fell throughout the area. DPW will be clearing catch basins and other areas prone to flooding today. Residents are encouraged to check around their property and ensure all branches are removed and gutters/drains are clear prior to the arrival of the heavy rain.
