Update on Disruptive Music - June 10
At approximately 12:45 a.m. today, the Croton-on-Hudson Police Department began receiving calls about disruptive music once again impacting the Village. The desk sergeant initiated contact with the Rockland County agencies who began canvassing the area around Haverstraw Beach State Park.
About an hour later, the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office located several vehicles off Route 9W with the large speakers. A total of 11 individuals were involved. The sheriff’s office issued multiple traffic tickets to the vehicle operators, New York State Park Police issued summonses for being on property closed to the public and Clarkstown Police charged the individuals with disorderly conduct.
Thank you for your continued patience during these past few weeks. Should incidents occur in the future, similar enforcement actions will be taken.
