School Crossing Guard (Part Time)

The Village of Croton-on-Hudson is looking to hire a part-time, substitute School Crossing Guard to work as needed. The responsibility of the School Crossing Guard is to assist school children in crossing traffic intersections at an assigned post during the hours when children are entering and leaving school. This position would report to the Police Department. 

Salary: $20.00 per hour

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND ATTRIBUTES: Some knowledge of first aid methods; ability to be firm yet courteous with the public; ability to get along well with children; ability to think and act quickly in emergencies; good powers of observation; dependability; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

Parking Enforcement Officer (Part Time)

The Village of Croton-on-Hudson is looking to hire a part-time Parking Enforcement Officer at the Croton-Harmon Train Station parking lot.

The successful applicant will be expected to work various shifts and should be familiar with computer applications. The successful applicant must also have a valid New York State driver’s license.

Job duties include: 

  • Patrolling the train station parking lot and issuing summonses for parking violations and other standing traffic violations.
  • Detect, report and troubleshoot issues with the pay stations.
  • Assist members of the public with use of the pay stations and general parking questions.

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Bus Driver (Part Time)

The Village of Croton-on-Hudson is looking to hire a part-time Bus Driver. This position is on an as needed basis for senior events and village functions. The successful applicant must be at least be 21 years old and have a valid New York State driver's license.

Job duties include: 

  • Operates a mini bus on an as needed basis for senior events within and outside the village and village run functions;
  • Transports residents to and from various locations within municipally operated programs;

Salary: $31.65 per hour
