Notice to Residents: Upcoming Roadwork on Route 9A

Road Work
As announced earlier this year, the New York State Dept. of Transportation will be milling and paving Route 9A (known as Albany Post Road and North Riverside Avenue in the Village). The work will begin at North State Road in the Village of Briarcliff Manor and continue northward to Maiden Lane in the Town of Cortlandt.

Over the next few weeks, crews will work their way from the southern to the northern end of the Village, cleaning out basins, gutters, and drainage systems, and performing minor tree trimming from Sunday to Thursday evenings/overnights between 8 PM and 6 AM. Work will not occur on Fridays or Saturdays. This work must occur prior to the roadway being milled/paved.

During this time, the road will remain open to the public, but drivers should expect to see crews, construction vehicles, equipment, and traffic cones in the work areas. All work is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled if necessary. Please use caution when traveling through the work zones.

Further information on the project can be found on the NYSDOT website.
