Croton-Harmon High School Homecoming Week
Croton-Harmon High School began its homecoming week last Monday, September 20th. Croton-Harmon Union Free School District Athletic Department is excited to announce Homecoming "Under the Lights."  Thanks to the Croton-Harmon Tigers Booster Club, lights have been rented to hold nightly sporting events during the week of September 20th.  Come out as a community and support the Tigers. Included here is a full list of the scheduled sports events:

Short Story Group
Tuesdays in September & October | 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Croton Free Library Front Lawn
If you are interested in reading more often this fall, but do not have time to read an entire book, then join the Croton Free Libraries’ Short Story Group. The group began on Tuesday, September 21, and will run for 6 weeks. Individuals are free to join in at any time during these 6 weeks.
Each week, they will read and discuss a different short story by a contemporary writer.

Village-Wide Tag Sale

Electric Vehicle Show

Join the Croton Sustainability Committee for the Electric Vehicle show. Attendees will be able to see a wide array of electric vehicles, as well as chat with their owners. The show will be held in conjunction with National Drive Electric Week. This event is co-sponsored by Croton100, Mothers Out Front, Care for Creation Ministry, and the Village Sustainability Committee.
 
Bird Walk

Join the Saw Mill River Audubon Society for their monthly bird walk at Croton Point Park. Attendees must register online and space is limited to 20 people. Vaccinations are required of all attendees. 37th Annual Croton Rotary Auto Show and Parade

Each program, workshop, retreat, and event is carefully designed for moms and daughters to feel empowered and motivated to continue to have a healthy & authentic connection together.
This four-part virtual wellness series will feature exercising, cooking, journaling, learning yoga, talking about all things sleep, self-care, and clean living.

Croton-on-Hudson Fall Festival
Saturday, October 2 | 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Vassallo Park
The Village of Croton-on-Hudson will be hosting the first-ever Fall Festival. This will be a family-friendly event held in the Upper Village.
The Merwin Oak parking lot will be blocked off for food vendors and food trucks to set up, and other vendors will be set up in the park itself.
There is expected to be a wide variety of vendors each offering something unique; everyone attending will be able to find something to enjoy There will be a live musical performance by the 145 band, balloon animals, pumpkin painting, drinks, food, home crafts and much more.
Please join us for what is shaping up to be a wonderful fall afternoon.
 
Archaeology Day: Archaeological Dig & Archaeological Investigations at the
African American Gethsemane Cemetery
Sunday, October 3 | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Croton Point Park Nature Center
This is a family-friendly event to participate in an archaeological dig! The event is for all ages and is free to the public. Masks are welcome and unvaccinated attendees are requested to wear a mask. Access to the Nature Center Building will be limited and masks must be worn inside by all.
Also featured, Dr. Spigelman will provide an overview of recent work at Gethsemane Cemetery in Little Ferry, NJ, using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), high precision GPS mapping, and interactive web mapping. If you’d like to attend the “Archaeological Investigations at the African American Gethsemane Cemetery” lecture, please preregister with your name(s) and phone number by email to jqpd@westchestergov.com.
 
Older Adult HealthCare Informative Presentation

Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building, Community Room
Join the Westchester Library System as they present on how to navigate the complicated healthcare system for older adults. It will help those who already have Medicare, as well as people soon to be 65, planning their retirement, or assisting relatives and friends with their medical decisions.
Visit to get a handle on this thorny subject in a user-friendly atmosphere. Walk-ins are welcome, but registration is requested at 914.271.3006.
