Con Edison Project on Old Post Road South

Con Edison has advised the Village that their contractor has begun a storm hardening project on Old Post Road South between Cleveland Drive and Maple Street. The work will generally take place Mondays through Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. and is expected to take two months to complete.

The work will consist of 13 poles being replaced and new wire/cable being strung. The result of the project will be the creation of two loops in the overhead system to reduce the number of customers impacted by a local outage.

Please note that there will be temporary no parking in areas where crews are working, and that temporary lane closures may be necessary while excavation work occurs. Residents in the work area may have service interruptions during the project, which will be communicated in advance.
