Croton-Harmon Union Free School District Board of Education Organizational Meeting and Regular Meeting

Croton River Community Paddle
Date: Saturday, July 18, 2026
Time: 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Location: Echo Canoe Launch (Train Station Parking Lot)

Bring your kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddle board and join a community paddle on the Croton River. Paddlers will travel together upriver and enjoy a river talk with local historians Scott Craven and Village Historian Marc Cheshire, followed by light refreshments on shore. This event is free and open to the public.

DIY Lanternfly Traps

Date: Saturday, July 18, 2026

Location: Croton Free Library

Learn how to make homemade spotted lanternfly traps and safely dispose of these invasive insects in this hands-on workshop led by Steve Varvaro of the Saw Mill River Audubon. Free for ages 12 and up. No registration required.

World Cup Watch Party

Watch the FIFA World Cup Final with snacks and a photo booth. Bring a donation for the Community Pantry if you're able. Free and open to all. Co-sponsored by Croton AYSO and the Croton Free Library. Registration is requested.

Croton Lions Annual BBQ
Date: Wednesday, July 29, 2026
Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Location: Senasqua Park

Enjoy a community barbecue at Senasqua Park featuring food prepared by the Croton Colonial Diner, plus door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. Attendees are invited to bring a new, unwrapped toy for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program and donate used eyeglasses for recycling. RSVP is requested. Suggested donation is $10 per adult; children under 12 are free. The event is rain or shine.
