Air Quality Alert & Prepare for Severe Weather Today

The Village of Croton-on-Hudson is closely monitoring the weather situation for today. At this time, the Village is under an enhanced risk for severe weather. The risks include damaging wind gusts, isolated tornadoes and flash flooding. Residents are encouraged to secure loose objects around their property and pay attention to updated forecasts throughout the day.

Air Quality Alert - July 18, 2026

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has also issued an Air Quality Alert for the New York City Metro region for today, July 18th. Air quality levels are forecast to be unhealthy for everyone. Residents can monitor local air quality conditions through the Village's Air Quality Tracker, which reports real-time air quality data from sensors located at the Municipal Building and DPW Garage.
