Resident Weekend Parking
For Village Residents, weekend permits are free. Weekend permits allow Village residents to park at the train station on Friday evenings (ONLY AFTER 6PM), Saturdays, Sundays, and certain holidays at no cost. Weekend permits are valid in Section F of the train station parking lot, or in Section D with a valid handicapped parking permit. When using the Echo Canoe Launch, parking is allowed in Section G on weekends and weekdays.
Weekend permits are valid on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Presidents Day
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Columbus Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day

Permits can be obtained online on the Village Parking Portal or visiting the village office (Room 24) at the Municipal Building, 1 Van Wyck Street. To obtain a weekend permit, we require a copy of the current car registration (with a valid Village of Croton-on-Hudson address).
Instructions for Applying for a Permit Online
- Navigate to the Village Parking Portal at parking.crotononhudson-ny.gov. If you have not done so already, create an account by clicking the 'Register' button.
- Once you have created your account, log in with your email and password. You will be brought to a page that says 'Request New Permit'. Scroll down to the 'Permit Type' drop down list and select Croton Harmon Station: BIENNIAL: Sec F&G Resident Weekend, and then select the 'Continue' button.
- You will be brought to a page to review the terms and conditions of the permit, where you can select 'Accept and Continue' to be brought to the next page.
- You will be asked to upload a copy of your registration along with your vehicle information and plate number. Once you are finished, select 'Submit Application.'
- You will receive an email when the status is changed (you are denied, approved, or if more information is needed).
