The Village of Croton-on-Hudson is providing an update regarding tonight's Village Board meeting. Trustee Nora Nicholson will be participating remotely via Zoom due to extraordinary circumstances, as permitted under the Village's Videoconferencing Policy, adopted in compliance with Chapter 59 of the Village Code.
As outlined in the policy, if members of the Board are authorized to participate by videoconferencing from a private location due to extraordinary circumstances, the Board shall provide the opportunity for members of the public to view and participate in such meetings by videoconference. - Consider the appointment of Joseph Cunningham as a Police Officer in the Croton-on-Hudson Police Department at an annual salary of $71,876.58, pending the passage of medical exams and approval from the Westchester County Dept. of Human Resources.
- Consider authorizing the Village Manager to execute the following documents with the Metro-North Commuter Railroad Company related to the Croton-Harmon Train Station Parking Lot: Property Maintenance Agreement, Release of Right to Repurchase, Permanent Easement Agreement and Temporary Easement Agreement
- Consider signing onto a letter from the New York Conference of Mayors to support the increase of AIM funding in the New York State budget.
- Consider signing onto a letter from Local Progress encouraging Governor Hochul to add $100 million in funding for clean water infrastructure projects across the state.
- Consider authorizing the hiring of Joel R. Dichter of Dichter Law LLC to serve as special counsel for the Village of Croton-on-Hudson and other Westchester County municipalities in Con Edison's electric and gas rate case before the Public Service Commission at a cost not to exceed $5,000.

The Board of Trustees encourages community members to use the normal chain of command to get answers to questions or to resolve concerns. Please consult the Village's contacts directory for information on how to contact members of the Village staff about an issue.
Members of the community are provided two opportunities for public comment at regular board meetings: one on agenda items and one on non-agenda items. A member of the public may speak for up to 5 minutes during either or both opportunities.
Public comments will also be accepted for the regular meeting in writing via our online submission form, by email to [email protected] or by hand to the Village Manager’s Office. All written comments, except for comments regarding personnel matters, shall be added to the official record of the board meeting if received by noon on March 12, 2025. Written comments received after the deadline will be held until the next regular board meeting.
