Travelogue Series: Korea - Seniors 60+

Chase away the winter blues with a short travelogue on Korea, followed by a tasty treat inspired by Korean cuisine. Mobile Shredder at the Library

Clean up and clean out old documents for the new year. The Westchester County Mobile Shredder will be stationed in the parking lot of the Croton Free Library for public use. Each person is permitted a maximum of four file boxes, approximately 10” x 12” x 15” each. All bindings and metals must be removed; bound or hardcover ledger books will not be accepted. The Croton-Cortlandt Food Pantry operates as a choice pantry and is open on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. The pantry is located in the Parish Center, Lower Level, at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. The entrance is near Vassallo Park. For more information, click here.

The Librarians, a new award-winning documentary for anyone who believes in the power of libraries and the freedom to read. Directed by Academy Award nominee Kim A. Snyder, the film follows librarians across the country as they become front-line defenders of democracy while facing harassment, threats, and criminalization for protecting access to diverse stories. Croton Free Library cardholders can view the film at home during a week-long virtual screening from January 18 - 24. Free and open to the first 100 Croton cardholders who register.
