Organized by the Croton 125th Committee in collaboration with 3rd Universe, CrotonCon 24 is a comicon-inspired event that features video games, free comics, a virtual Lego contest, entertainment, and vendors. Test your skills at Smash Brothers, challenge our local police and your friends to a board game, Virtual Lego building contest, sidewalk chalk coloring, music, comedy and cosplay, come dressed to impress! A dedicated shuttle will operate between Croton Harmon train station and the 3rd Universe comic shop. The shuttle will make stops throughout the Village, granting you easy access to the Village's restaurant and shops. Even after the convention wraps up at 6:00, the shuttle service extends until 10:00 PM. Don't miss out on exclusive Con specials offered by many local businesses! The shuttle map can be found below:
The American Dream & the Hansberry Family: A Conversation with Natalie Moore on Housing Segregation
Join the Lorraine Hansberry Coalition of Croton on Saturday, May 4th, at the Croton Free Library from 2:00-4:00 PM for an illuminating conversation with author Natalie Moore (The South Side: A Portrait of Chicago and American Segregation) as we discuss Carl Hansberry’s landmark 1940 Supreme Court case and how housing segregation continues to affect America. With special guest Tejash Sanchala, Executive Director of the Westchester County Human Rights Commission. All are welcome to attend this thought-provoking, free, and public event. Croton Yacht Club Annual College Scholarship Fundraiser
Since its inception in 2010, the Yacht Club has awarded over $20,000 in scholarship grants to Croton Harmon High School graduates pursuing undergraduate studies in the aforementioned fields.
