Utility Billing Cycles & Payment Schedule

Most Village of Croton-on-Hudson homes are serviced with municipal potable water.  A small number of homes in the village have private wells.  Homes that have water services are billed quarterly for water consumption.

The billing cycle is as follows:

  • 1st Billing is March 15
  • 2nd Billing is June 15
  • 3rd Billing is September 15
  • 4th Billing is December 15

Checks should be made payable to the Village of Croton-on-Hudson and can be mailed to the address on the front of the bill.  Payments can also be made in person at the Municipal Building.  In addition, payments can be made online by credit card or ACH.

Pay on-line by credit card or ACH

All charges are due and payable upon issuance of the bill and are past due thirty (30) days after the date of issue. If payment of account is not made in full within thirty (30) days, a 5% penalty will be added for the first month, and 1% for every succeeding month or any portion thereof in which the water and sewer rents are not paid.

No Exceptions.

Delinquent water and sewer bills more than sixty (60) days overdue and not paid by April 15th each year will be added to the village tax bills. If this happens, a separate line item would appear on your tax bill identifying the delinquent water amount with applicable interest and penalties.

Postmarks are valid only if done at the U.S. Post Office, on or before the final due date.

Foreign country postmarks and private/corporate postage machines postmarks are not acceptable proof of timely payments.
