Message from the Chief’s Desk

School is back in session on Thursday, September 1st. The Croton Police Department asks that you make back-to-school safety a priority. The beginning of the school year is an especially important time to check your driving behavior and ensure you are practicing the safest driving habits. To help promote back-to-school safety, the Croton Police Department will once again be implementing the Traffic Enforcement Initiative Program. A dedicated Traffic Enforcement Officer will be monitoring the areas in and around our school zones to ensure that motorists obey posted speed limits, avoid distracted driving, and follow the rules of the road. Transportation Safety is a shared responsibility, and it is up to all of us to keep our students and pedestrians safe. As our children head back to school, remember to SLOW DOWN CROTON.
