2023 Summer Camp Registration Open

Summer Camp registration is now open! There are two summer camp programs available: Tiny Tots, and Day Camp. Tiny Tots Summer Camp is a half day program, open to campers Ages 4-6. Camp activities include games, music, arts & crafts, entertainers, sprinkler days, story time, and more! The Day Camp program is open to youth who have completed Grades K-6. The day camp program includes arts, crafts, games, swimming, special events, trips and more. Registration Forms are available in the Recreation Department, the Croton Free Library, and online on the Recreation Department website. Early registration is encouraged. Questions? Kayak & Canoe Storage Rack Lottery Open

Kayak & Canoe storage is available at Echo Canoe Launch & Croton Landing. Village Residents may register for the upcoming season by lottery from March 15 – April 8. Afterwards, available spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Non-Residents / School District Residents may register after April 11. Limit 2 spots per household. Forms are available in the Recreation Office or download a printable version here. Full payment is required with registration - please make checks payable to "Village of Croton-on-Hudson". 

National Quilting Day
Saturday, March 18th, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 56 Cleveland Drive
 

Celebrate National Quilting Day and help make quilts to be donated to Lutheran World Relief for distribution to people in need around the world. Drop in any time between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. No experience is necessary and light refreshments will be served. The organizers are seeking donations of clean cotton fabric yardage, sheets, and curtains that can be repurposed into quilts.

Join the Croton Free Library for a screening of: "The Leatherman: An American Vagabond" A Documentary Film by Jon Scott Bennett Saturday, March 18 at 7pm When a strange unkempt man dressed head to toe in leather began traveling the roads of New York and Connecticut, the people of the region immediately took notice. Yet his name, origins, and reasons for wandering have never been explained. This created an air of mystery around the figure who has come to be known as "The Leatherman." Local filmmaker Jon Scott Bennett will present his film and participate in a Q&A afterward. Free and open to all! This program is not appropriate for young children.
 
Croton Business Council Gumbo Smackdown Fundraiser

5 talented local chefs will square off at the Green Growler to see who makes the best gumbo in Croton. Limited tickets available. $50/person, price includes one drink. Community Blood Drive

NY State Boating Safety & PWC Certification Course
Registration Open Now - Course takes place on Sunday, March 26th, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Croton Yacht Club, 6 Elliot Way
 
The Croton Yacht Club, located at 6 Elliott Way in Croton-on-Hudson, will be hosting a New York State Boating Safety & Personal Watercraft Certification Course on Sunday, March 26th from 9:00 AM – 5:00PM. The course is being offered by the New York Boating Safety organization and the fee is $70.00 per student. Pre-registration is suggested by visiting: NEW YORK BOATING SAFETY (nyboatingsafety.com). 
 
Croton History Hike

Croton Point Nature & History Hike Croton Point Park Naturalist John Phillips and Village of Croton Historian Marc Cheshire will lead a hike on Saturday, April 1, at 9 a.m. to explore Croton Point’s history, natural history, archaeology and geology. The hike will last roughly 1.5 to 2 hours. This event is free. Meet at the gate to the RV park, where parking is available. Ages 6 and up; wear sturdy shoes. The same hike will take place on April 15.

Enjoy a private tour of Lyndurst’s sumptuously decorated first and second floors filled with 175 years of original period furniture and decorations including objects designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany and the Herter Brothers and paintings by Courbet and Corot. 2023 Community Survey on Safety and Law Enforcement

The Police Advisory Committee and the Police Department encourage all residents to take a few minutes and complete the 2023 Community Survey on Safety and Law Enforcement. Village residents are asked to share thoughts, views, and experiences to enable the Police Department to best serve the community. All feedback is welcomed and needed.
