Diversity & Inclusion Discussion Group
Thursday, June 24 – 7 p.m.
Via Zoom

The Evolving Language of Gender and Sexuality. Pride Month celebrates diversity and love in so many ways, it may be hard to keep up with the current parlance. Have you seen anyone with "preferred" pronouns? Or perhaps you've wondered about variations of colors in Pride flags? No idea what's going on with the letters in LGBTQIA+...? Join us as we reflect on definitions of gender, sexuality, and biological sex and the evolving (and sometimes confusing!) lexicon around these topics. For the Zoom information, please email COH.DI.Committee@gmail.com.

Opening Day at Silver Lake
Saturday, June 26 – 11 a.m.
Silver Lake Beach

Opening Day for swimming at Silver Lake Beach! The Village is still awaiting updated guidance from New York State and Westchester County now that social distancing restrictions have been lifted. Information on admission rates and season passes will be circulated as soon as it is available. Stay tuned!

Camps will be held in our renovated, spacious, air-conditioned studio with newly installed HEPA air purifiers. We will observe current COVID safety protocols. Please see our website page for COVID FAQ's. For more information email office@crotonacademy.org or call 914-862-0988.

Navigating the Queer Experience
Wednesday, June 30 – 5 to 6 p.m.
Via Zoom

Growing up, several LGBTQ+ library staff members said they would have loved to have been able to ask queer adults some questions. So, to celebrate Pride Month, they’ve formed a panel of queer friends to talk about their own experiences navigating the world and to answer questions from tweens and teens. Questions welcome! Submit anonymously here. Disclaimer: None of these panelists are professional advice-givers or therapists! They’re commenting on their own view of the world. Registration: Sign up on Zoom.
