Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: State of Emergency Declared

Village Playgrounds, Ballfields and Basketball Courts are CLOSED

A State of Emergency is hereby declared in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson for a period of time effective immediately and continuing for the next thirty days. 
 
The State of Emergency has been declared due to emergency conditions produced by the COVID-19 outbreak. 
 
Such conditions threaten or imperil the public safety of the citizens of this municipality.  As Chief Executive Officer of this municipality, I have exercised the authority given to me under New York State Executive Law, Article 2-B, to preserve the public safety and hereby render all required and available assistance vital to the security, well-being and health of the citizens of the community.
 
I hereby direct the Police Department, Fire Department, Department of Public Works, and Emergency Medical Services to take whatever steps necessary to protect life and property, public infrastructure and other such emergency assistance as deemed necessary.

Order Controlling Presence of Persons on Public Streets and Places

 
As Executive of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York, in accordance with a proclamation of State of Emergency executed on the 16th day of March, 2020, do hereby declare that the following areas within this municipality are restricted effective immediately, except for the provisions of designated essential services such as fire, police, and hospital services including transportation of patients thereto, utility emergency repair, and emergency calls by physicians, and any other authorized personnel:
 
  • Croton Landing Field
  • Dog Park at Black Rock Park
  • Dobbs Park Playground, Basketball Court & Ballfield
  • Duck Pond Park Playground, Basketball Court & Ballfield
  • Firefighters Memorial Field
  • Harrison Street Park Playground
  • Manes Field
  • Senasqua Park
  • Senasqua Park Playground
  • Sunset Park Playground
 
Said restrictions shall apply for the next thirty days.
