Dear Croton Community,

As many of you may be aware, a few days ago, in response to the impact of COVID-19 on many of Croton's seniors and others in our community, the outpouring of volunteer support, and the Croton Caring Committee’s mission to help the homebound and those in need of assistance, we launched a pilot program to connect volunteers with those in the community who need assistance with grocery shopping or other light errands during this time.  Volunteers as well as those in need assistance can contact us using this form on our web page www.crotoncaring.org or e-mail crotoncaring@gmail.com.  If one of these two preferred methods is not available, you can call 914-271-4979.

We will also be continuing our Holiday Food Basket Program which provided food to Croton families in need.  Further to that effort, we will work with our volunteers and other local organizations to ensure that our surplus food supplies get to our neighbors in need during this difficult time.

Many in the community have contacted us to ask how they can help, and we wanted to share a few ways additional ways that you can help:
  • Donate Non-Perishable Food and Gift Cards to Local Stores (e.g. ShopRite, CVS) to help those in need with their immediate food and other needs.  Nothing will be wasted and we will share any surplus with our other local Croton organizations serving those in need.  These items can be dropped off in the two bins on the porch at 11 Eklof Court.  Alternatively gift cards can be mailed to Croton Caring Committee, PO Box 221, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520
  • Donate Your Free Ham at ShopRite. You can do so at checkout by informing the cashier that you are donating the hams to the Croton Caring Committee.
  • Donate Money to help us respond to request for emergency assistance. Many have asked how they can donate to help those in need.  You can donate online using Paypal (a PayPal account is not required to give on-line) or via mail by sending your donation to Croton Caring Committee, P.O. Box 221, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520.
We thank you for your support and thank the Croton community for helping us make a difference to those in need during this difficult time!

Carrie Sena, Executive Director
