Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update for April 7, 2020

Use of Leaf Blowers Banned Effective April 8, 2020
The Village of Croton-on-Hudson is continuing to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) emergency along with our partners in Westchester County government. Our top priority is maintaining the safety and well-being of Village residents. To that end, we remind all residents to continue to practice social distancing by maintaining at least six feet distance from others when outside and to avoid gatherings that are larger than 10 people.
 
Leaf Blower Use Banned in Village Effective April 8th
 
The Village Manager has issued an executive order effective April 8, 2020, to ban the use of leaf blowers of any kind within the boundaries of the Village. Residents are requested to inform their landscapers of this temporary ban. The Village will also be reaching out to area landscapers to let them know. Thank you for your cooperation!
 
Westchester County Seeks Volunteers to Help Small Business Owners Complete Applications for Assistance Programs
 
Westchester County Executive George Latimer announced yesterday that the County is seeking volunteers to help small business owners complete applications for SBA and Paycheck Protection Program assistance. The Westchester County Office of Economic Development’s SBA Application Assistance Program is soliciting volunteers to help small businesses complete applications for the following programs: SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan Advance, SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan, and Paycheck Protection Program applications. Westchester County Reminds Residents of Abuse and Neglect Services During COVID-19 Pandemic
 
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic that is forcing Westchester County families to remain inside their homes, the Department of Social Services (DSS) wants to remind mandated reporters and residents who are concerned about abuse and neglect situations that help is still available to them.
