Absentee Ballot Update from the Croton-Harmon School District

This email is being shared by the Village as it represents an issue of potentially broad interest to the community.

Dear Croton-Harmon Community,

We are sending this message to update the community on the status of absentee ballots for the 2020-2021 school budget vote.

It was our intention for voters to have already received their absentee ballots.  Unfortunately, we were informed by the printing company that the ballots would not be mailed on the date expected.  Though this is understandable with 700 districts in the state on the same timeline, we were expecting that our expeditious handling and diligent management of this responsibility would prevent any delays.  The printer has assured us that the ballots will be mailed on Monday, June 1.  We apologize for the delay.

We encourage you to return your ballot as soon as you receive it using the postage paid envelope OR you are welcome to drop your ballot off at the Croton-Harmon District Office located at 10 Gerstein Street. There is a drop box at the main entrance that can be accessed at any time. Ballots must be received (not postmarked) by the District on June 9, 2020, by 5:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. District Administration and the District Clerk will be hosting a Live Question & Answer Informational Hour regarding how to complete your absentee ballot, as well as a discussion of the 2020-2021 School Budget. If you would like to participate during this Q&A, please use this Zoom link

Sincerely,
Tracey Borges
Croton-Harmon District Clerk
