FEMA FLOOD MAPS
FEMA updated the flood maps in Westchester County to digital flood maps effective 9/28/07. As part of the update new engineering studies were performed on some stream segments. The FEMA mapped flood zones in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson are along the Croton and Hudson Rivers, and a smaller mapped flood zone around Kaplan's Pond and Bessemer Wetland. Copies of the FEMA flood maps are available for viewing in the Engineer's Office and can also be viewed online along with other information on flooding at the FEMA Flood Map web page, click on the
online FIRMs link.
Please note that other, more localized, areas of the Village may flood during severe storms however these were not significant enough to be included in the federal flood mapping program.
