After the Sheriff mysteriously vanishes, two youngsters must foil the great heist — but not before stopping a runaway train, escaping from an abandoned mine shaft, and discovering how a mysterious piano can play an “instrumental” part in putting a rotten cowboy back behind bars. Throughout this adventure story, audience members explore the fascinating science behind chemical reactions, acids and bases, combustion, air pressure, inertia and more. Ideal for grades K through 5.

22nd Annual Croton Arboretum Garden Tour
Sunday, July 15 – 12:30 PM to 5 PM

This ever-popular event will offer participants a private, self-guided tour of a variety of beautiful gardens in the Croton-on-Hudson area. Tour coordinator Laura Seitz has selected a diverse group of landscape settings created by local residents who have generously offered to open their private gardens to the public, all within Croton or a short distance away. The six gardens on this year’s tour all maximize the potential of the terrain—whether it consists of many acres or just a fraction. Stone outcroppings, steep hillsides, and water provide both ample opportunities and challenges. For information on how to purchase tickets, click here.
